VTB Bank’s IFRS net profit soars to 98.5 bln rbl in Jan–Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russia’s second largest bank VTB soared about 70% on the year to 98.5 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the bank said in a statement on Thursday.
The net interest income grew 4.8% to 238.1 billion rubles, and the net fee and commission income went up 7% to 46.1 billion rubles.
Provision charges shrank 9.2% to 69 billion rubles.
The bank’s portfolio of corporate loans rose 2.1% in the period to 7.458 trillion rubles as of June 30, and the portfolio of retail loans increased 8.5% to 2.749 trillion rubles. The combined credit portfolio went up 3.7% to 10.206 trillion rubles.
